I have an old skool kyocera 2035 cell phone with a verizon plan. The plan is currently like 150 minutes or so... which is not enough. I was wondering what the best plan is right now (Where da hot dealz yo) for verizon so that i can upgrade to a better plan. Also wondering what would be involved in possibly upgrading to a better phone. Is this Kyocera mine, in that i could ebay it or something and buy a v60 possibly? I'm pretty new to the cellphone game, so any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks!

depends on how long you have had your phone and what your contract is like. yes most likely the phone is yours on most plans (recent) ...

verizon does not have that many / any hot deals really. I use america's choice with 300 anytime and unlimited nights weekends plus mobile web and unlimited text messaging for $47.99 a month. but its only $35 for the base plan.

get a local plan for a bit more minutes (50) or single rate if you need no roaming.

pm me if you have other questions

No, the no-longdistance is $5 extra per month. With another $5 extra ($45.99 total), you can have 300 anytime minutes, no long distance, no roaming, and unlimited nights and weekend minutes.

I've got the $35 America's Choice plan and am pretty satisfied. You can only upgrade your hardware/phone if you have had it for 8 months with the same phone number. This really blows IMHO, since I have to wait till October 28th to upgrade my crappy Nokia to the V60i. If you upgrade before the 8 months you have to pay the full retail price of the phone which is ridiculously high. Oh well, good luck. Oh, and I second Howardforums.

perhaps we are thinking of different plans then. the plan that i have is 35 bucks for no roaming, no long distance, 300 any time, and 3000 night and weekend. it's called "america's choice"
