Anyone with a Radeon 8500 tried these? the "omega" drivers

Just found this and this over at rage3d and am wondering if they help or hurt?

They are found here., looks like for use in 9x/ME only..

Don't know about his Radeon drivers but his V3/4/5 drivers were generally pretty decent.

I havent tried the 8500 driver cause I dont have one but I am using the 98 driver for the 7500 from him and they are good drivers.
