Anyone willing to help me with some Perl and a email script called formmail?

I bought a template that uses formmail. I downloaded it but am not really a programmer or familiar with setting it up. I am running my own server and hosting my site. I created cgi-bin folder and placed the script file in there, but something is not right. If someone is willing to help me out I would really appreciate learning how this works.

do you have perl installed on your computer, what OS are you running, what web server, did you change the path to perl in you script?
