Anyone who is going to a computer convention........

I made up a rough draft for a Team AnandTech flyer to be passed out at computer shows, conventions, LAN parties, the local computer shop, local bar, strip club, etc.

Feel free to submit your own if you think you can do better, and print out a million copies and put them in everyones hand. It think this is a great (and cheap) way to get new members, which is what we need here, people, not machines, if we want to see some serious growth.

If some sort of plan is set up for distributing free setup diskettes, then we should consider making stickers with the official TA-logo and website URL. That would be a promotional tool of tremendous value to TA.

In this thread of the DPC they are talking of promoting their team on the largest computer show (HCC or Hobby Computer Club) in The Netherlands. At least 400,000 people are going to attend. This show is scheduled at the end of November.

DPC-members are talking about activities such as:
spreading flyers, giving away free install-diskettes, showing a working client and statistics, members running around in COW suits (yes, that's right LOL ) and more.

Also every DPC-member attending the HCC will be wearing a DPC t-shirt and some will make flags (if not to expensive).

If we can get a solid effort at all the computer shows out there, we shouldnt worry about the DPC, so what if they have a big convention in the netherlands??? in the US we have way too many large cities with conventions to recruit at, just look at all the shows in San Fran, LA, New York, DC, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinatti, Seattle, Miami, Toronto, Houston, Dallas, DC, Boston, Baltimore, Atlanta.

And members crazy enough to wear Cow suits??? ya we got that, im sure we could even beat that with some of the lunatics we have around here.

You're right Train,

But then we still have to do something and not let it slide. I'm in The Netherlands and overhere I think the DPC have much more chance of assimilating somebody here than I have. This won't mean I give up, will try to get as much computers as I can. But the HCC will be quite a blow to their keyrate. If they can manage a growth of only 10% because of that and we do not much (besides the excellent ass laminations of Dennilfloss and the occasional asslaminations Like that word of active TA-members) then they will pass us before the end of the year.
