Are there web site with ratings and feed back etc???

Are you talking about guided whitewater rafting?

I went last Summer. There are two places near me and both are equally good. They have to be extra safe especially for insurance reasons.

Be warned though, once you go you are going to crave going again and bigger water.

There are 2 companies in my town that offer guided white water trips on our local river. There are also several other companies within a couple of hours that offer trips on other rivers. If you want info on them, I'll be glad to post whatever I can find. Maybe you can go to a travel forum, like Fodors, for user ratings on different companies.

I am interested in planning a day trip, so the location is fixed.
There are multiple companies offering guided trips.
I am sure some are better than others, and that careful research on the internet with be fruitful.

Depends where you want to go. I have gone three times in colorado/utah on the colorado river and other rivers. (eldorado?)
These trips were for 3-4 days. You brought tents, and setup camp on the shore each night. The guides would cook for you, and etc. Usually around 15 people.
There was around 4 big boats (hold food, water, tents, luggage, the guides were on these) and around 10 duckies (for the people to have some fun down the rapids)

Dont remember the name, however I'm sure you could find it on google. Also- these rapids were not for the faint of heart, some really dangerous currents and drops, etc.

If the guide says "dude" alot, has a raft made out of innertubes duck taped together, and paddles made from street signs, you might want to look elsewhere.

Do any of you think there is some sort of web site that has reviews of rafting companies?

Check out the forums at Fodors. It may take some digging, but I guarantee that you'll find the reviews you seek.
