Luckie Louie

I didn't think I'd like this show at first. Something about the guy irked me before even watching the show....maybe it's the red hair. I saw him on the Daily Show first though and found him rather humorous, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

But his brand of humor is good. It's very sarcastic, and mean, yet still very funny. Plus his wife in the show is bangable in a "plain Demi Moore" sorta way.

The g/f loves it and thinks the show is great. she called it a "21st century Honeymooners".

Absolutely the worst show I have ever seen. I cringed when I tried to watch it.

I watched the pilot, and I watched part of the 2nd episode. I am TRYING to like the show, but the verdict is still out at this point.

His daily show appearance was hysterical. I figured if he could be close to that funny on the show it was worth a watch. The pilot episode wasn't great, but the show definitely has potential. I'll keep watching.

I watched all of both, but I'm kind of where you are. The guy has the resume of a freaking star, but so far the show is just so-so. I think his acting is what's maybe hurting the show more than anything.

2nd episode was much better than the first. They need to make the set look more realistic, though, and they need to get a few more script revisions each week.

it just looks WAY too fake.

 It has nothing in common, whatsoever, with The Young Ones (assuming you're talking about the English sitcom with Rik Mayall).

I really dig it.

It lacks the polish of network sitcoms but that it's charm IMHO... I cannot stand 99% of network sitcoms with their overly polished presentation, canned laughter, predictable as hell dialogue and jokes, and sanatized story lines and dialogue.
Maybe I hang out with freaks but I the people I know in real life talk much more like the dialogue in this show than anything like in 'Friends' for example.

I also dig the Honeymooners type set.

This is by far the worst show I've ever seen on HBO, and one of the worst in general. I couldn't make it through one episode.

I watched it again last night, and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. It really is a completely mundane, family-friendly sitcom with lots of profanity and adult themes wedged in to make it "shocking." Last night they had a ton of male nudity - I doubt any episode of Kung Fu ever featured that much wang.

It's hard to believe this is the same network that brought us the Larry Sanders Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I thought the show was pretty good. Acting wasnt good, but it still was pretty funny.
