Anyone watching The Muppets. show?

I have watched all 3 episodes so far and while it is not a laugh every minute it is witty and good humor. I watch it with my 4 & 6 year old daughters but they don't get most of the jokes. Not that it is raunchy but they just don't understand the words.

I hope it stays on the air because this is original and never would i thought i would watch the Swedish Chef sing karaoke to The Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper Delight song.

It's been Ok thus far. I think a lot of people who remember the original variety show (like me) are bent out of shape on it because its so different.

All in all though it's been worth my time to get a few chuckles out of it. The hardest part for me is dealing with the sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigthly different voices for all the characters.

I thought it was pretty dumb over all. I've only watched the first two episodes but honestly don't think it's for me. I was bothered by the more adult direction (it's a kids product, not sure why they need to adult it up) but even looking past that, I didn't like it. The Larry Sanders show did the show about a show thing much better.

I saw about 20 minutes of the show with Josh Groban and Jay Leno. I hat the style of the show. It is a bad rip off of that bad rip off of the English show the Office.

I'm enjoying it. It's hard not to love a show that has the Swedish Chef doing Rapper's Delight.😱

Though having never seen The Office before, that may be a benefit in my case.

Not sure I could get into it on a regular basis, but the Swedish Chef used to be one of my favorites and just watching that made me laugh a little.

Which is a good thing and hard to find these days.

They doing the Scientist and Beaker ?

I still have a Animal T-Shirt from long ago as I was a drummer that is pretty much pristine someone bought me long ago.

Probably the first network show I've watched in a decade. Watched it at my wife's insistence. I loved it-it's like a grown up version of the Muppet Show. Highly recommended by me.

I like it just because it has the Muppets in it but I agree the whole mockumentary thing is getting stale. My wife pointed out how the show is pretty much 30 Rock with Kermit = Liz, Miss Piggy = Jenna, the writers = the writers, etc. That being said I still laughed a few times during the episodes and my son seemed to like it so I'm sure we'll keep watching.

COMPLETELY. It's almost painfully obvious.

Kind of wish they would do some of the songs and variety numbers of the old show.

Surprised about some of the drug and booze jokes going on with the band members.

Old show was much better and just as adult, maybe more so.

Gave it the 3 show trial watch, wont bother to watch any more unless nothing else is on.

When I saw the first episode and Fozzy made a reference to bears (i.e. a big, hair gay man), I knew it just wouldn't work. The thing is... you can make high-brow jokes, but you can't use ones that are so left field that most people won't get them. Modern Family does it well enough, but The Muppets just doesn't get it.

After the gang did a karaoke bender with Miss Piggy Kermit asks Bunsen and Beaker why they are wearing each other's clothes the next day. Bunsen tells Beaker they don't have to explain anything to Kermit that happens outside of work.

Granted I never watched 30 Rock or the Office, i felt like this show is mimicking Modern Family with the jokes.

Best thing about it imho is the voices sound close to same to me. I remember watching an updated Scooby Doo & a newer Peanuts special and the voices ranged from this is way off to WTF is this! I don't know if I like the story line format. I was a fan the old random skits and musical guests like Harry Belafonte. Of course today random music guests would probably mean Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift & The Jonas Brothers. So maybe change is good lol
