Anyone watching 'Star Wars: Empire of Dreams' on A&E?

Wow, I've never seen this special before, but its easily one of the best "the making of" featurettes I've EVER seen.

Some things I didn't know:

- Carrie Fisher was sent to fat camp and had to drop 10 lbs before shooting started
- Kenny Baker (R2D2) was accidentally left in the droid during lunch breaks
- Luke Skywalker was originally Luke Starkiller. Much more Sith, eh?

Ummm... this is on the Star Wars Trilogy DVD... and it's 2 1/2 hours on the DVD. I believe the broadcast version is much shorter.

Also, Christopher Walken was the #2 choice for Han Solo. I would have LOVED to see that. Hell, I just want to see him read the script now!

That would definitely be interesting. Now we just need to find a wormhole to a parallel universe where he took the part so we can see it 😛
