It has been REALLY entertaining. Just about all the singers so far have been joy to hear. I was watching it a little bit in past weeks, but this week is really good. The actual band members are also playing with the contestants now too.
 
I liked season 1 a lot better, this season the song selections have not been as good and I don't think the contestants are as talented. They still blow the doors of the idiots singing on AI...

Still very entertaining though.
 
I got sucked a few weeks ago but I agree that the remaining contestants aren't anything to crow about. Still very entertaining and definitely better than AI. At least they play "real" music on this show and it's not a bunch of crappy pop music.
 
I started watching but got bored because the talent level seems to be way below the INXS series.

 
i've been a big proponent of ryan star ever since he was in Stage. he had a few core fans follow him to a solo project and then this happened. he's a very talented musician, however he's said it's hard to do other people's songs and for the short length of time he's forced to perform for as it doesn't let him get into the song properly.
 
magni knocked it outa the park last night with his Accoustic Live song..

but that chick from Houston that played with gilby was great too.

Your right, I forgot about Magni, not to say that the others are not good in their own right...ok Zayeda(sp) needs to get gone quick...but to front those three guys, I just don't see anyone other than those three.

i used to think Lukas was a shoe-in, but i think he's a bit more over the top than they want.
i'd love to see Dilana win it. she is most talented and fun to watch.

last night's show was really entertaining. i think all the contestants did well except for Zayra.

i think they are concerned with Magni and being on the road when he has such a young family and is clearly emotional about being away from them. that might hurt his chances.

the talent level has risen. they have all become more experienced and more in tune to what the band wants to see. you should give it another chance. last night's show really showcased a lot of talent.

i do agree with you though... in the beginning i didn't think much of but a couple of them. they are much better as some of the weak ones are now gone.

true, but there is a difference from the mansion and being on the road, at the mansion they have no outside contacts, no phones, no newspapers, no internet, no nothing
 
double whammie last night getting rid of two contestants. i think it was a great call to whittle them down faster that way.

Lukas and Magni both got encores.
 
magni was great the other night.. but lukas.. i thought was soso.. the girl (from Houston) that played with gilby was better than him..
 
I just don't get how Zayra is still in this. Yes, I know she is a suprise by the minute, wears outrageous clothing and does a very unorthadox performance. But her voice sucks IMO. And if you try to imagine each contestant actually fronting that band, I just can't see her coming close to pulling it off. I think she's only still in because of her shock value and nothing else.

i think Lukas got it because for once he didn't have a screetchy, screaming-type voice. he actually sang smoothly and showed he had a voice, and Radiohead's "Creep" is just an awesome song.

yeh, Dilani rules. she sang The Who with Gilby on guitar better than anyone there could.
maybe Gilby didn't think the song he accompanied should get the encore.

The only possible reasons she is in this are:

1. Every Puerto Rican in the world is voting for her
2. A bunch of jackasses vote for her to bring "reality show drama" into the program
3. The producers are fixing it for that same reason

She should have been in the bottom three and would have been sent home. She became a joke 3 weeks ago and is just clocking time until she is sent packing.
