Sorry, I';; stick with the BBC Sherlock and not the Amerkan ripoff.

hahaha Its not like they are on during the same time slots. Sherlock is better...I would even take Luther, but they are not on the air now. I dont see why this would need to be an either or scenario.

We've watched the first five episodes and I actually quit like the show. Miller and Liu :)wub:) are both great.

Being a huge fan of Sherlock I thought I would hate this show, but it's actually quite fun. Not quite as epic and intricate as Sherlock, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Finale in a couple of days!

Half a season later, I am really liking this show. It's nowhere as deep or dramatic as the on episode of the British series I saw (they don't have to do 20 episodes a season though), but both leads are pretty good.

it is significantly different from the conan doyle tradition, sherlock, or even the downey jr stuff. right now they have kept it small stakes, intimate relationshipy, after-the-fact crime procedural. Sherlock is more like mini movies with life and death stakes so they tend to go in broader strokes.

i dont mind where they are at right now, the irene addler episode this week is coming in a just the right time given the pace they've set so far.

the only thing i kinda find missing is where Mycroft would fit in to this incarnation. it feels like the father has been morphed into a surrogate for the establishment and expectations that Holmes has traditionally rebelled against in the form of his brother.

The M episode was pretty good. Lots of interesting possibilities with the series now that M is in the picture.

I think the biggest accomplishment is that they managed female-ize Watson very well. I thought Lucy Liu wouldn't fit, but I was totally wrong.

i really wish the cinematographer would indulge a little more on the emotional scenes. the last part with them on the couch needed to be way closer than a medium shot. the editor needed to give johnny lee millers lines on 'missing this' at least 2 additional beats and a stronger bgm ramp.

too cerebral and abstract. if you arent already familiar with intelligence/analysis work and the way counter terrorism develops assets, the critical plot developments werent always apparent.

Yeah, moved slow, lots of long quiet moments. Is there any guide out there as to what was supposed to happen in season two? :(
