I saw my friend do it, and I was stunned. It's amazing stuff, but it's not amazing that it takes a prodigy to do it.
My friend says half the people at his piano recitals don't memorize their music, and just improvise the rest, and no one can tell.
I'll be impressed when I hear his work. Anyone have a link to his songs? 🙂

can your friend compose music faster than most of us type?

they are comparing this kid of 12 yrs old to MOZART for petes sake. at least read the article in the link before making such comments.

Last time I watched him play a 12 minute piece, and the notes were like 160 beat on 32nd notes cut time. That's like fricken 300WPM.

i'm talking composing ENTIRE symphonies vs improvising. i have lots of friends that can improvise.
