Anyone watch Star Trek Voyager?

I never liked star trek much... until I watched a few eps of voyager.... gosh they are soooo good!

now I am trying to get them all, but haven't had much luck.
 
yep, Vogager has some really good episodes! I still catch them whenever I can... Too bad they haven't released any Season DVD sets yet...
 
I hated Voyager, too much technology to make an episode end. Every other episode they'd pull out some new piece that they were working on, give some cryptic explanation on how it worked, and it would just whoop ass for them.

Watch DS9 if you want to see a good series
 
voyager didn't get good until they got rid of Kes and brought aboard Seven of Nine. The Hirogen story arc was pretty good as well as some of the later Borg storylines. IMHO, DS9 was a lot better, especially the later seasons when the Dominion War was in full swing.
 
Other than the classic "Best of Both Worlds" TNG episodes, DS9 has some of the best combat scenes in ST history imo. The Defiant is by far the coolest ship in the entire ST universe. I like the Dominian as the enemy better than the Borg as well.
 
Some of the TNG episodes were outstanding, while many were pretty cheesy. The early ones with Wesley "the boy" Crusher were particularly agonizing. DS9, in the earlier seasons, focused too much on the Bajoran religious crap, so I never stuck around to get into the story arc. Voyager had some outstanding episodes, and it had some cheese as well.

On the whole, as a series I prefer Babylon 5 to the lot. The humans in the Star Trek universe lack culture, style, music (they only seem to listen to classical..), team sports..

i hated both voyager and ds9, tng was the best!
 
I really liked the storyline on TNG and Voyager
DS9 was just mainly for the space battles - I didn't really care too much for the characters in the show.
 
I liked them all. Some were certainly better than others. I watched DS9 the least as the Bajoran stuff seemed boring to me. I think TNG was by far the best. Enterprise (the prequel) is good also. I'd like to think that the human race will be around long enough to travel to the stars.

voyager rules.. nothing like a hot MILF in command.

DS9 was useless.. it didnt go anywhere.. okay so they had a few decent episodes but those ferengi just ruined the show.

TNG was decent later on. Early on it was useless. Capt. Picard was a solid role. He is what really carried it (the show).

Voyager had a good story line. I liked it.. and frankly Kes was hot and so was Lt. Lindsay Ballard (who comes back from the dead). I relate to voyager than TNG.

I agree with all the points here... by FAR the best battles ever done in the ST universe.

Never really liked voyager except for a few episodes. Hell I even like the new "Enterprise" better than voyager.

And that's if you were lucky to watch the good episodes. The other 50% of episodes they were crash landed in the middle of nowhere and needed to be rescued.

Speaking of "new tech stuff"... I remember this one where Torres was trying to lock onto somebody to transport them, but there was too much "interference" (as usual)... so after a few failed attempts, she's like "wait, I'm going to try a bone mineral scan lock" and Janeway is like "I've never heard of that", and she's literally like "I just thought of it" and then crew member is saved. 😀

I think it was primarily because of the cast. Talk about Affirmative Action - we have a lady captain with a black vulcan. I thought it was a cool idea to have a female captian, but Kate Mulgrew? She totally sucked as a "captain". She acted like a shrink, not a leader. And there is no such thing as a black vulcan, there wouldn't be because the Vulcan Race has a copper based blood that helps them endure the heat, and that's why they have pointed ears to vent heat better, a planet that hot wouldn't have developed black vulcans - and even if it had, they wouldn't have the afro hair!

And then they had a cool idea with the Doctor, who started as a rude little jerk, but then within a few episodes he became Mr. Fruity. They could have at least left him with some of his original personality.
 
been watching voyager over again, when i got to about the 4th season i got tired of it...it gets old after a while. the first season was pretty good though.

I agree. One of my favorites was a season ending episode where the Federation and Klingons go into the wormhole to take out the Dominion but ended up being ambushed. The Jem Hadar (sp?) just cut through that Galaxy class flagship like butter. It was great.
 
TNG - My alltime favorite.

Voyager - I started out HATING this series but one day I was bored and gave it a chance. After a few episodes I was hooked.

DS9 - Marginally better than Voyager. Capt Sisko > Capt Janeway
 
I love TNG, but Voyager is also very good.
In my eye the one that really sucks is Enterprise, sad little newbies, give me the U.S.S. Enterprise - 1701 - E 😀
