Anyone watch American Hotrod?

I missed the originial airing of the 12-3 show but I managed to catch the rerun last night. All I can say is WTFBLUEBEAR?!?!? He had a once in a lifetime chance to build his own hot rod while being paid to do it and he goes and screws it up because of a boxed frame! LMAO! He didn't want to box the frame because it would have looked ugly. Boyd and Bluebear must have had a LOT of history for Boyd to put up with that much crap!!!

What I really don't understand is Bluebear has been with Boyd for a while and he has been part of at least 10 builds (that I've watch) so Bluebear knows or should know how to put a car together safely and the proper way to go about getting things ready. He was half assing damn near everything on his car. You couldn't pay me enough to take a ride in that car.

Yeah. Boyd told him to go home for the day and he would call him back. He came back the next day and they started to get into an argument again and he told him it was time to part ways.

damn. i liked bluebear. he was a real character. they kind of made it obvious on the promos.

He blew it bigtime. I can't believe how stupid he was.
I don't get why Boyd didn't fire his a$$ earlier. He's fired 2 guys during the show.

Now if they'd just fire the short bald dude with the goatee and the temper, along with "Putty Face Boy" they'd have a chance to get a crew in there that could actually work well together.

I was hoping the BlueBear would hang on long enough so their would be an episode where another builder would beat the sh!t out of his fat ass. Fscker defeinately needed a torque wrench across the teeth.

Oh well, I hope he enjoys his new career at the local School District Motor Pool.

Duane is the "short bald due with the goatee and the temper" According to his bio he has been with Boyd since 1985.

I'm not sure who "Putty Face Boy" is. Maybe Andrew (AKA Beetle Bailey)?

That pissed me off that Blueballs went and got under the skin of the one builder that couldnt take anymore of blueballs crap. Went to Boyd and told him he couldnt take it anymore and said keep him away or he was going to kick the heck out of him and they fired him. For as long as I could remember Blueballs was always giving the eye to the camera making fun of people behind their backs even Boyds ass. And then he was given the chance to build his own car paid for and got paid to do it and his true colors come out and they finnaly got rid of him. Now that they saw how big of a pain in the ass he was they should hire the guy back they fired that wanted to beat him up and tell them how wrong and sorry they were!

I just got into watching this series and I love it! The other guy that got fired, was that the guy with the really old pickup that picked up the tools? He had like a goatee. I've only seen a few episodes, and that's the only other guy I saw get fired.

Was the "other guy" that got fired the guy that always fought with Bluebear? I was recently wondering where he went....

Bluebear certainly frustrated everyone and acted very immature for such a job. I didn't get a chance to see the last episode yet, although I saw previews of Bluebear being "in trouble".

Dewayne (sp?) certainly has a short fuse. Although if you are referring to the Putty Boy as in the guy that is in charge of the paint/body stuff, i certainly don't agree. He is without a doubt their best worker.

Cutting a brake line with a band saw. Yea that's really smart bluebear. I knew from day 1 he was a moron. Duane is a prime example of the saying 'You are promoted until you are incompetent' He should have never been promoted to shop supervisor. He can't handle the pressure nor does he seem to have the organizational skills.

I believe they are refering to Mike the CNC machinist as Putty face boy. He needs to grow some balls and stand up for himself.

You're on the money with Duane. He thinks he's better than everyone and treats the others like sh1t.

Beetle Bailey is the one I was calling putty face. He's an arrogant prick as well. All told it's a miracle they can ever put together product like they do.

Here's something interesting. If you saw Rides last night, Charlie (Boyds painter) and Beetle Bailey were painting a Foose car. I just thought Foose took a car to boyds shop for painting, but I hear that Charlie left Boyd and is now the new painter for Chip Foose. If that's true then it's a huge hit for Boyd.

Correct. Chip Foose used to work for Boyd you know?. After Bluebear got fired I went to the show forums and read all the gossip. Tig, the guy that got fired for freaking on bluebear, was not even a builder. He had 17 years experience painting and bodywork so he had no idea why he was building and glad he got out of the show.

I saw that. Good for Charlie for leaving. If Boyd is going to continue having him work long hours for the same pay, I don't blame him for looking for new work.
