whats w/ these scooters....did anyone buy these for your kids...do they really like them?

I cant see how they'd be any fun
 
My cousin (he's 23) and his roommate bought one in August and broke into the gym at the local college and went riding around for a couple hours trying to do tricks.. Not sure what happened after that, I'm pretty sure they broke em a couple weeks later.

I'm too uncoordinated to ride em. I tried, and would just fall off I did anything but go in a straight line.
 
they seemed to work ok, i tried a small one once, hit a bump lets just say its as if the scooter didn't exist. like i'd been skidding on ice then the ice faded to pavement and i regained traction, dug gravel out of my palms for a week..... didn't seem to fold right either
