Anyone w/ Windows XP Pro on a laptop?? How much HD space does it take up?

Can you tell me how much HD space Windows XP Pro takes up on a laptop? I've got 4GB of HD space on my laptop, and I'm debating about whether or not to install it.

On my laptop, winxp takes up about 800mbs.

Just make sure you have at least 128mbs of ram and something p2 or higher.

The MS site says "1.5GB of space" under sys requirements. I'm just curious if that is bigger or smaller for lappies.

mine says 1.12gb under the windows folder

WinXP won't be any bigger or smaller on a laptop or desktop. All the same stuff gets installed.

MikeCel79 has it right - there's no difference in installing on a lapop or desktop. My \WINDOWS folder on my lappy has 1.45 GB in it.

There is a minimum installation you can use. I guess that's why we have 20 GB drives in lappies.
