amd 2000+ @ 1875 (12.5 x 150mhz)
2 x 512mb buffalo 2-2-2-11
epox 8rda
9800se->9800

3dmark2001se
sdram @ 100%, 150mhz (2-2-2-11) = 11083
sdram @ 133%, 200mhz (2-2-2-11) = 10710

now:
amd 2500+ @ 2083mhz (12.5 x 188mhz) ~ "3000+"

3dmark2001se
13579

3dmark2003
3981

are these scores any good? im not sure because of the 9800se -> 9800?

Because you have an AMD processor. AMD's processors have to be run in syc with the memory (unless it's an A64). Even the A64's run much better when the fsb and the memory is sychronous.

That's not actually true - I've used several NF2 based board that allow you to run the memory at a different clockspeed than the cpu

As does mine and Akumax's. I didn't say it wasn't possible (well, I didn't mean to seem like I was), I was saying that it's never beneficial, unlike P4's.;)

youll get better performance when ul gona be running AMD cpu in sync with the memory...

You should be able to do 4K atleast with a Radeon 9800 in 3dmark 2003, are you sure your softmod is working correctly? My old 9500NP softmod to a 9700 (340/295) achieves 4.5k in 3dmark03 and over 14K in 3dmark01 easily with an old XP2200 and 1GB of DDR266.

4k in 3dmark03 sounds about right if you softmodded a sapphire SE
if it was a powercolor SE, you should be getting more...5k+
regardless, 4k is pretty decent

4K seems right for an SE

yeah, but an se -> regular?

right, the powercolor 9800se's are a lot better than the sapphire 9800se's (256bit compared to 128bit)

i'm pretty sure the softmod's working... just wondering if the scores sound alright

and for the 9500np->9700, you had your clock @ 340/295, right now my 9800's at 325/250

A64's don't have an FSB, just a reference clock (200MHz). They use a divider to derive the memory clock from cpu clock. A 2GHz CPU can run all DDR memory types in sync at their nominated speed, while differently clocked A64s/Opterons/AFXs might use some MHz less for memory clock (they want to be on the safe side) if DDR266 or DDR333 is used.
