Anyone using the on-board CMI 8738 sound?

I can save a PCI slot on my AMD A7M266-D by using the on-board sound. Does it have bass and treble settings like on the Sound Blasters?

Thanks.

No, it does not. I've used the 8738 onboard the Abit AK35GTR board, and on 2 standalone cards that use the chip. No equalizer settings of any sort.

Yes there bass and treble settings if you get the correct controls. I just used the windowsupdate.microsoftcom drivers and I can't remember where I got the control panel, check out c-medias web-site, BUT yes it does.

there part of whatever mixer software your model\make comes with. if you don't have a disk , the mfg's site might have software updates too.
good luck
