isnt final the same as rc3?

EDIT: Mozilla.org has now posted Firefox 1.5 final on their website and the MD5 hash of it is the same as RC3. So RC3 has apparently been accepted as the final version.

I was using it, but rolled back to 1.0.7. For some reason I couldn't get videos to display from video.google.com with 1.5.

Can I install both Firefox 1.0.7 and 1.5 on the same computer?

We might need to do testings on our site's look and feel on multiple browser types and versions (as many as possible) to make sure they look as similar as possible. As such, having multiple browsers installed might be something for us to do.

Yes. You'll need manage two different profiles though.

Installed, nothing different so far, haven't looked at the list of changes to notice.

The forward and back button caching is definitely kicking in. I can tell.
Indeed. The only reason I upgraded anyway.

One less reason to use opera.

There never were any reasons to use Opera in the first place ;)

I might have to roll back, this new version doesn't like one of the forums I go to. The info under the avatars don't autowrap anymore or something. If somebody could check www.misticriver.net for me and see if it's just my PC that'd be helpful. Go into the forums so you can see some posts and see if the image and table on the left get screwed up when the info is a longer line.

Anyone having problems when you click on a pic and choose save as? It doesn't bring up the dialog box for me to save it.

Using it... so far the only thing I haven't been able to do is get my Dictionary.com search engine thingy back since it seems to have erased all my custom ones when I installed it.

Check Options/Downloads to see you have "Ask me where to save every file" option checked.

y'all start from scratch (completely wipeout previous version) or just install over, in which case, how are your extensions working out? gotta redo 'em?

Yes, I'm seeing that behavior in 1.5 as well. Contact the webmaster of that site and report the issue.

I just installed this morning. Only have one extension that wouldn't work, but the rest is fine. Interface is about the same. it seems to load a lot faster, also loads up pages faster. Maybe because it does more downloads of images at once, or has better caching. I don't know.

So far so good though. no bugs that i've seen yet.
