Anyone using direct connect right now?

I downloaded it today so I could try it out. I put 8.75 gigs of stuff in my shared folder. I can connect to hubs just fine but my searches bring up nothing. I even tried to search for "the" and it brought up nothing. Is it just slow right now or am I doing something wrong. Also does anyone have any recomendations on what hubs are the best?

Also can you download a file from mutiple people like kazaa?

not going to give away my good private hubs, but if you really want to get into a good hub, you have to be sharing 40+ gig of stuff. The hubs i goto are 80+ for new users.

But to answer you search troubles, try going into Settings, Connection, and selecting Passive (at the bottom).

That should help...at least it did for me.

As far as I know direct connect dosen't get slow, the hubs your connected to do. Try connecting in passive mode if you are behind NAT server, router, or anything of that sort. Also try turning off your firewall, zonealarm will not let search results through as far as I can tell, other firewalls may do the same.

Just make sure you forward port 1412 to your computer if you don't want to be in passive mode....bmacd, I think you should share, I've been using the public hubs for a while. I'm currently sharing about 85 gigs..........puny, I know.
