I was online ok in Vmware with the box that was running it, but as soon as I plugged in the cat5 to the nic for the other box and tried to get it online I lost my IP now the internal and external IPS show for a LAN is all 192.168.....

In Vmware for the box running it, I just had both NICS on bridged. Thing is, all this thing is seeing is the Virtual NICS not my real ones, so I'm not sure how to get my other box online now.

Here is a screenshot of what my NICS look like, the configuration which is Bridged and Host:

FORGET it I give UP! :(

This thing is to much a pain in the ass, especially with Vmware, I'm just going to buy a hardware firewall instead. Maybe one day later I'll mess with it again, thanks for all the help.

Your problem was that you used vmware. I recommend that you give it another go but on a seperate pc.

Trust me...astaro is worth it.

Well yes, I'm sure I'll get it now with another box, one problem, I don't have one, LOL and I live in Hawaii, where I am at electricity is DAMM EXPENSIVE, we pay $250 a month and I can't afford to run another box just for a firewall, it will really suck it up alot more then just some small hardware router/firewall running.

But maybe one day when I can, I'll give it another go.

THANKS

LOL, that's what I was using Vmware, and I couldn't figure how to get my other box online, only the one running Vmware.

But this isn't going to be a good solution, because I'll still need to run that box as the firewall and again, it's going to suck up more electricity, then some small little hardware, firewall/router will.
