I'm planning on using it for either a 650Mhz Duron or 750Mhz Tbird. Not planning on O/Clocking. The cases are quite cheap: 250W-case is $59.99 while the 300W-case is $69.99. Anyone used these cases before? Any info on this is very much appreciated.:)

That's not really very cheap, in fact it's rather expensive for such ugly and low-quality cases (I've seen them at the local CompUSA).

If you want good quality or a 'name' brand, then consider the Antec KS282. I mention this one because I know it's available at CompUSA, for $79.99 (with 300W p/s) or $69.99 (with 230W p/s). Get the 300W version since it comes with the PP-303X power supply, which has been approved by AMD for Athlon use. It's also a well though-of p/s.

I have no idea what p/s is used in the FMI/CompUSA branded cases, although it's probably not approved by AMD. They're likely louder than the Antec case & p/s, too.

Get an Antex Sx1030 or Sx830 instead. If you don't want these, get an Enlight case instead.

The ks282 can be bought from onvia.com for $65 shipped, it also has a very high quality 300 watt power supply, get this case, don't think about it, just get it, you will be happy, much cheaper and better than compusa crap. Heck, if you want compusa stuff, might as well go get Fry's crap.. haha.. :)

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'll get an Enlight7237 (250W) case for $65.00 instead from a local store. I needed a case with 2 external 3.5" slots for my internal zip and a floppy drive. Thanks again.:)

Do keep in mind that you can always stick a 3.5" drive (such as the Zip drive) into a 5.25" bay using an inexpensive (less than $5) adapter...

I have a case I bought from COmpUSA for $69 with 300 watt ps. It has 4 5.25 open bays and three 3.5 bays (2 open and one hidden). FUnny thing, this case was all the way across the store from all the other more expensive yet cheaper quality cases. Go figure.

All edges rolled so as not to cut anyone. MB plate swings out. Both sides slide back and off. I replaced the screws with thumbscrews and cut out two spaces for 80 mm fans and it is ready to rumble.

Got my 600 Duron at 850 steady. Waiting for my new Taisol fan before pushing it any further.

See ya!
