Maxconsole liked it thoughBottom line: it does not work.
This is a product that some manufacturer just dumps in the US for hapless consumers.
Tech support is non-existent. No phone number to call and they do not respond to emails.
Its a great idea, I just wish it worked.
I have an xfps 360 and and it is almost perfect when used with Gears of war and Lost Planet. Gears has a 1% deadzone on high sensitivity that you won't even notice after a while. With the XFPS I can press keys quick and turn very quickly in a controlled manner when playing Gears and Lost Planet. I have also put people down from a distance because of my increased aiming ability. However, that doesn't mean that controller people can't put on a good fight; the "controller people's" shotguns are unforgiving lol, and they also kick ass with the sniper rifles. You know what, I really wish I can show you guys how well I can aim; I can aim at anything quickly and kill, and with the freakin grenades, forget about it, I AM CRAZYyyyyyyy. I can toss a grenade right on target without even swinging it. I'm talking real time actions with the frag in Gears.
HEADS UP:
1)Play gears on high sensitivity and you'll be able to movie smoothly and quickly, checking your front and back almost immediately like in real life.
2)do not play Lost Planet on "8 acceleration" because it gives the game a dead-zone, think about the word "acceleration/dead-zone" (that's why a lot of you have been complaining about this game); put the settings on
" 8 Cruise, this will take away all of the dead-zone (the smallest movement with the mouse will cause action with this setting)
3) You can also use the playstation smart Joy Frag with the Xfps 360 to adjust the dead-zone, being that you can use playstation connections and all. ( I adjust my deadzones with the smart joy when playing my other tittles like rainbowsix vegas, and battlefield 2)
Which means Microsoft and Sony will need to re-evaluate allowing keyboards and mice to be used in console games I think. Or figure out a way if someone is using an adapter to emulate a controller.
And even if you could find one that worked pretty good enough to give you an edge, you'd basically be a cheater. Maybe not technically a cheater, but in the general spirit of cheating, and where's the fun in that?
One of the best things about consoles is how relatively difficult it is to cheat, as well as the standardization of hardware. Sure, people can have better TVs and Audio, but thats not exactly game specific, and you're not exactly going out of your way to hack the system into supporting something it's not supposed to.
Learn to use the controller. As a long time, die hard PC FPS player from back in the day, if I can get used to the controller, anyone can. No, you do not have as precise control with a controller as the Mouse/KB. That's an absolute fact, and I'm certainly not going to deny it. But once you're used to the controller, the game is no less fun than it was with a KB/Mouse. It will take some adjustment, but you'll come to accept it, and you'll no longer miss your beloved KB/Mouse.
I'd love to see Mouse/KB support in future consoles, provided they dont mix them in online games. That would be a disaster. That being said, I'd probably still continue to use the controller.![]()
cheating? that's retarded. there are still plenty of people that can hand me my ass in MW2. it's another way to play the game. i see no reason why someone like myself, who hasn't played a console game since 007 on the n64, can't find an adapter that's easier for them. there are just as many console gamers(who aren't pc gamers) that would be horrible on a mouse and keyboard. sure, i could take the time to learn the controller but fuck that.
But once you're used to the controller, the game is no less fun than it was with a KB/Mouse.
I have no played an FPS on a PC in many years and yet still to this day I feel like a damned retard trying to do headshots with a console controller. They are inferior and I will never forget it, though the memories are a bit dim thankfully, as it's been so many years. Despite the first computer mouse being however many decades old now it still is the true honest to goodness kickass way to control a pointer on a monitor.Yes it is. That is the biggest problem for me, I can kick ass with the controller but I still hate it.
So its not cheating cause you suck? That doesnt make any sense.
I'm no good at getting headshots, does that mean I should use an aimbot?
Or why not get a modded turbo controller so you can full-auto on single shot weapons and have an advantage there?
Whatever makes you feel better about it, I guess. Online console games would be absolutely ruined if mouse/KBs were mixed in with controllers.
Do you have XIM or XIM 2?
IIRC wasn't there a deadzone in the XIM?
Some of you guys are really funny. I'm a die hard PC gamer but have no problem playing with my friends on console fps's. Sure I'm not the best but it's not as hard as you all cry out to be.
