Anyone used a line 6 POD amp modeler?

I played around with one for 5 minutes in the music store and am thinking of getting one... Anyone have any experience with one of these? I'm in an apartment, so my 15W amp is about as big as I can go for now, but it'd be cool to have some extra sounds. I don't really want to have to get 15 different pedals and all the computer effects I've seen do wonders with prerecorded tracks but have horrible realtime effects.

I have several friends that have used them in the studio with good results. If you played with it, liked it, and think it's worth the money, then get it!

Plus you can always use it as a preamp or run it in the effects loop of a amplifier later on.

I'd be mostly using it as a preamp. Guitar -> POD -> 15 W Marshall amp -> ears

Right now the amp is pretty limited... just distortion and some reverb.
