Anyone used the claybar yet? Do i clay before or after wash?

Pics of anyones cars?

I used clay bar, did it after the initial wash - you definitely want to do it after the wash or all the large dirt particles will get embedded in the clay and may scratch your surface.

Zainorrrific!

My car with Meguiar's Gold Class

The picture is kinda fuzzy because the digital camera I used sucked, but you can see reflections even with the Meguiar's. Regradless the MGC doesn't last too long and isn't the easiest in the world to use, so I'm ordering up some Zaino sometime this week just to see.

My brother uses Zaino on his '93 Trans am. Makes his car look very shiny and nice. Kinda expensive, I recommend it.

Best part is, some of the products smells like candy!

I don't know if he does or not, but one trick is to wax the wheels after you wax the car.

For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about: Link
Zaino usually lasts 3 - 6 months before you need to reapply it. That's one of its biggest advantages. I use to use that but now I've switched over to P21S Paste Wax. Seems like a lot of people at Autopia are either switching from Zaino to P21S or from P21S to Zaino. It just depends on what kind of look you're going for and how often you're willing to reapply.

Mani- Each additional coat of Zaino makes it that much more glossy and shiny.

Took a wet towel to them to clear off the brake dust and gunk and then just applied the polish. Though since then I've already built up another layer of brake dust on top of it. :p

Yeah, we ended up applying 5 total coats. I was questioning whether 5 was overkill but my friend kept insisting on it since we have black cars.

Did you really notice a difference with each coat you put on?

Zaino Bros' recommends using only Large Bath size 100% Made in USA White Cotton towels with all of our products. Cotton T-shirts are too small for polish removal and not as absorbent or fluffy as towels and most contain polyester. We have found that certain towels; especially those manufactured abroad, although they say 100% cotton. They are not; they include a blend of polyester and nylon that will definitely scratch and leave swirl marks in your paint finish. The rule of thumb is to use high quality Brand Name large bath towels (Cannon or Fieldcrest) that say 100% cotton and made in the USA. Towels sold in bags in Auto Stores are not 100% cotton. Look carefully on the bag it will probably say made in Pakistan or Bangladesh or other foreign country. Do not use these towels. They will cause swirl marks and scratches on the paint surface. Always, remove the stitching around the towel prior to use. Bargain store polish applicators also contain polyester and nylon fibers and are not to be used. Also, when washing your towels, please do not use any type of fabric softeners. Always use White towels. Do not use Colored Towels they contain dyes.

I'd rather use high quality microfiber towels for polish/sealant removal. I do use nice towels to dry my car though.

For the first 3, yes. But didn't really notice anything beyond that.

I ordered up a set of Zaino stuff. I'll have to apply it this week or maybe next and post some before/afters.
