Anyone use Voice Stream for their cell phone plan?

Specifically I am looking at them because of their AOL Instant Messenger service. That would be very convenient because that is how I mainly communicate with my friends and family anyways. Anyone have experience with this? How is the interface? Speed? Thanks

My sister has this plan with the Nokia phone. She likes it, but her only complaint is typing the messages on that phone keypad. It can be a pain. Otherwise, the service is great and she likes the phone and AOL IM.

Hope this helps. :)

Verizon gets AIM you know... so does Sprint.

As for Voicestream.. my "girl" has it and she hates it. She is always losing calls when I call her, no matter where she is (I have called her in San Diego, Las Vegas, and all over NJ) Here where I work (Johnson and Johnson) Voicestream is the one the company uses for work cell phones but everyone hates it because it never works so no one ever ends up using their cell phones much.

Stick with Verizon. It's not worth saving the money with Voicestream for the terriable service.

It's dependent on where you live. I think it's still relatively new in NY and the east coast of the US, so service is going to be spotty like Jzero said.

Down here in TX - it's great - no dropped calls, crystal clear, great reception anywhere, etc etc.
