Anyone use Twitter to follow the election?

So I've been using Twitter now for 6 months--I'm not really big on the whole "tweet" thing--primarily I use it as a way to SMS my facebook status (I have Twitter linked to Facebook). But prior to the election I started "following" all the local news outlets' twitter feeds, as well as NPR, NPRpolitics and various other media outlets. Even in the thick of it last night, Twitter remarkably stayed up and active, and it was like getting a real-time feed of fresh info (often minutes before "Breaking News" was announced on CNN!)

I was positively giddy when I saw this update for one TV news outlet: "prepping gfx: Obama declared winner"

Yeah, Twitter's cool. I am very impressed that our national news network (government funded at that) actually supports twitter. And had their own segment dedicated to following tweets on air. Good to see them keeping in touch with users.
