It's supposed to be this program that gets rid of AIM's annoyances (ads and such..)

I want to know if anyone else has had trouble getting the History feature to work right. It's supposed to save every conversation to disk, but seems to only do it sometimes and not others.... weird
 
i have it and it works fine. what version do you have? what exactly is the problem? also have you tried to ask your question at big-o-software's forum page yet.
 
I don't like it. I figured that it'd be really cool because it got rid of the ads and made the aim windows see through. It was super annoying.

If you want to get rid of the ads, then just go to www.aimicons.net and they will hook you up.

I go to history and there's like hardly any of them there, but some are. There certain settings i'm not aware of?

you know that it doesn't need to be transparent. it's just an option as with the removal of ads and logging of conversations.

there was a problem with the release of version 2.0, but those were fixed that day with version 2.0.1, make sure you have 2.0.1
also to see you settings right-click the top left corner of you aim window and goto AIM+ Preferences.
 
Yeah, I know. I just didn't like that part.

Also, if you want to remove ads, you can go into your .ocm file (I think it's that) and just delete every instance where it says adware or something like that. Remember to backup your files though beforehand!

You can also find some cool aim hacks by using google.

yeah i know, i like aim+ mostly because of the logger.
 
the history thing is case sensetive. If you change your font style format, it will think it's a different person. 😛

The program isn't perfect yet.🙂 They actually say that this is one of the corrections that they are working on for future releases.

i don't think it defaults to anything. the 2mb is just the size of it right now. all the history viewer does is loads you history files so you can see them. the files are saved on your hd like any other type of file. you can access any of the files just by opening them without the history viewer.

Does it have tabbed IM windows? If not then it does not get rid of AIMs only annoyance.

No AIM+ doesn't have this, if you want this feature you should ask for it at big-o-software's request forum: here. they usually respond to everything that is said.
 
Just tried it because of you guys and I'm pretty happy to say that it's great! I like transparent windows 🙂 Now I can actually see my wallpaper. Thanks guys 🙂
