Anyone use the Claw with their fps games?

I was looking at RTCW on gogamer.com and in one package it comes with this controller called the claw.
I think it's just a controller to map functions from the kb so that you don't have to use a kb, but I was curious if anyone has used it or if they like it?

Just get used to your keyboard, as it's more versatile .. WASD is your friend

I agree with WSAD..

I remember when I really got started with the original Quake. All my game at that point was on consoles and I thought that the KB + mouse was way too awkward. It took me a while, but it is, the best combination IMHO.

I even play some racing games now with the KB + mouse even though I still have a sidewinder gamepad...

I tried using the Nostromo in XP a few months back and it was buggy as heck because the drivers weren't working. I just use the keyboard...I've gotten too used to it by now.

I have a Microsoft Strategic Commander but I've never really used it.
I was just curious if the Claw was any good. I'm not trying to compare it to the keyboard.

I read a review of it that mentioned it, but the new Belkin drivers have fixed the issue - works like a dream, or so I've heard. I asked for one for Christmas, but if I don't get it, I'm gonna have to buy one for myself.

A question for those that use the n50 - what do you use the d-pad for? In FPS, is it just additional buttons, or do you use it for movement/strafing, etc.? In RTS, do you use it to move the map, or ???

I did forget to mention something that I didn't like about the Speedpad n50 - pressing 3 buttons at a time on it is not a good idea. Pressing 3 keys at once can cause a fourth one to activate. Example: In CS, I press the keys to crouch, then move forward. Then, while doing that, I want to also move left a little. When I press the third key, a fourth one activates on its own, making me jump. Belkin initially said this was a driver issue, but they now say it's hardware, and cannot be fixed. Hopefully the Tacticalboard will not have this problem.
