Anyone use Ridgid cordless tools?

curious how it compares to milwaukee or Dewalt. was going to buy a milwaukee kit this week, but saw that wanted some info on the Rigid tools...

I use my rigid tool whenever possible. It's only drawback is that after a long session of using it, I have to wait a while before using it again....

Ornery posted a link a few weeks back which seemed to point out that the Rigid tools were made by Ryobi. Also, if you purchase a Rigid power tool before Dec. 31st, you will get a limited lifetime warranty that is also supposed to include batteries - in the event they can't hold a charge anymore.

Ended up going with milwaukee, they also had a mail in $50 cagift card for HD if you bought the milwaukee. I also like the way the milwaukees felt as opposed to the ridgid, ridgids plus's were a lifetime warranty, dual port charger and 30 minute charger. Almost went with the dewalt since it had a mail in form for a radio, but milwaukees reversible battery and recip saw and 5 year warranty tipped the scales

Good call, Johnnie. Notice time is REALLY running out to take advantage of that warranty. The big point about that, is the lifetime warranty on the mucho expensive batteries. Otherwise, like Fiveohhh said, Milwaukee does seem to make a better tool. I went with Milwaukee myself, but if I had it to do over, knowing about Ridgid's offer, I'd still take Milwaukee. I particularly like their "Hatchet" Sawzall. No other company makes one like that. Even their regular Sawzall is a LOT better than the competition. Having free batteries is only worth so much. Ya gotta like the tool it's plugged into.
