anyone use Paypal on their website as their ordering system?

Curious as to how good it is and whether every user needs a login name and password, or can simply place an order.

With paypal as a form of payment for services, you MUST log into the paypal system. You do not need to make accounts for your website to use paypal for orders.

I believe paypal details it all on their site, but it's merely a matter of passing variables through from your site to paypal's site when someone needs to pay.

I built a little web store for a friend's wife. The site used Paypal and people could checkout without signing up. Originally, they had to, but it was changed at some point. It's perfectly suitable for a small site, imo.

This is an interesting question...we're pretty much forced to use paypal as no other merchant service allows "travel agents"

"Buyers Can Checkout Without a PayPal Account"

It seems like the best solution for now. They cover Amex, Discover, Visa, and Mastercard.

Yep I know a few web hosts who use Paypal to accept cc's, low processing costs and no merchant account required.

They also do not require a paypal account which is convenient.
