How is it with Racing games and others? Did anyone need to replace it how was the service?

I have the Gravis GamePad PRO now and thinking of switching. I already had to replace 3 gamepads each broke.

Thanks.

Well, it works pretty good with NFS5, but still not as good as a wheel. I personally don't use the sensor too much, I just got the pad because it was more comfortable than the Gamepad Pro that I had (That and it had Win2k drivers, when, at the time, the Gamepad Pro didn't). Also, I've had this pad for almost a year now and never had a problem so I couldn't tell you about support, but this thing is pretty sturdy.... been dropped and banged many times....

I play all racing sims with the Freestyle Pro... it is quite good yet not a wheel.
GPL, MonacoGPRS2, Nascar2000, Rally Championship 2000, Madden NFL 99 are all very nice to play, the only thing that's
not so good in racing sims is braking because if you want to use y-axis for both braking and acceleration there's bound to
be some difficulties. I' ve had the Freestyle Pro since it became available and have to say I like it
also I've had no problems with it even though it's been dropped many, many times.

ok.. thanks for the input.

I dont use the x-y axis for braking and acceleration I usually use the buttons for that. I use x-y axis for steering only.

I'm still waiting for windows 2000 drivers.... do they even plan on making drivers for this??

Thats two microsoft products that I have that do not have windows 2000 drivers. The sidewinder gamepad and the dss-80 speakers. That's so ridiculous... Microsoft product = no Microsoft drivers.

Not saying this will work but try this:)
Go into the control panel and add sidewinder autodetect (I think thats what its called) and it should find and run your controller.
The cd that came with my force feedback pro sidewinder joystick wouldnt install but adding the autodect sidewinder thing made it find it and it works great.

Hey Nosoup4u, I am currently using Windows 2000, and my Freestyle Pro is working just fine with no glitches. Are you using it on a gameport or USB? When I Installed Win2k, it just automatically detected and calibrated the FSP for me.
