Anyone use elastic/no-tie shoe laces?

Has anyone tried those elastic locking shoe laces like these or ones like this which actually look pretty clever if they work? Or anything of the sort?

I like to just slip my shoes(sneaker/cross training type shoes) on and they keep coming untied when I do tie them. Looking for suggestions of these types of laces or anything that works good.

My mom bought a set. She likes them. However I would trust them for running.

RedRooster, do your shoelaces, rather their loose ends and bows, lay across your feet or do they point toward your shin and your toes? The fact that they keep coming untied make me believe your knots are uneven granny knots, not proper knots. This is actually very common! Google "Ian's knot site" or something along those lines.

I leave mine tied all the time and slip them on and off. I haven't had many issues with them becoming untied after using the laces that come with New Balance. They are thin then fat all the way along the length, so it seems to make them harder to become undone.

Like this..

Yes, up until recently I had this exact same problem.

Fuck no. I'm a grown up and tie my shoes. (or just tuck the lace ends under the laces and wear them as slip-ons.) :p

These are often used in triathlons because the shoe can be tightened far quicker than with regular tying. I have used a pair--one of the more common brands--and they worked well for that. The snugness of the shoe isn't quite up to snuff as with regular tying, but they served the purpose they promised.

Dang, thanks for the tip! I've been tying my shit the old way all this time, these knots seems like they'll work way better.

This.

I have them on my Mimimus shoes specifically for triathlons. Have been running in the shoes for over a year with the laces and no issues.
