Anyone Use eDonkey2000 File Sharing Service?

I downloaded it recently, and for some reason I can never get it to connect to any servers. Any tricks I ought to know when setting it up for the first time?

sometimes it takes several attempts to get into a server

when downloading bigger apps/movies be sure that several people have it & perpare to wait close to a day to get it! even on DSL/CABLE

Hmm, maybe I will stick with LimeWire then. I have been trying to connect to ANY server for over an hour, and have had no luck.

Have you been getting messages that you have an outdated version? That's a bug with recent releases.
I've found it to be pretty fast and reliable, and it won't allow people to leech as much.

No, just dowloaded it for the first time, and cannot get any sort of connection established.

there is a link on the website to add more servers... you just click on a server and its added to your list

eDonkey is a good file sharing program with a dedicated user base. However sometimes it behaves strangely as you've already found out. I suggest reading the responses to main problems on the official forums nad the unofficial forums.

If it won't connect to any server, just exit the program and run it again. If it still won't connect - reinstall it(yup, that really works).

Already tried the re-install, and no dice. I will try adding servers manually.
