DirecTV's unpublished policy of [overly] compressing video is a lot like hamburgers from McDonalds. Everytime you go look at one it seems to get 'less'. For the hamburger, its a smaller burger, for the DirecTV video its worse PQ. Watched this happen on the locals from DirecTV over a 2.5 year period of time, and now I have seen this happen on the HD channels over the past 13 months.
BTW, even Voom admits they are in trouble. In August they stated they had a whopping 30,000 customers. They've been in service for +10 months. That is pitiful on th the revenue side of business.
