Particularly this one from Partsexpress. I was about to pull the trigger but they are out of stock so I might as well ask for some opinions first..

I could've asked this in AVSforum but their taste is kinda too rich for my blood right now! :p

Umm, yeah

*SPL: 85.9 dB 2.83V/1m
*Fs: 39.4 Hz

== teh sh!tty

You'd need 500w of clean power (read: additional expensive amp) to even put it to good use, and even then it still wouldn't be as good as running four TC2+s in isobarik.

The only app I could see that being useful for is people wanting to put too much bass in a car too small, such as a ricer owned a guy with a small penis. I think $500 subs just make the penis shrink more and the ricerness increase.

ah the ribbon is back! :heart:
I'm pondering on the Yamaha 8" sub I heard had excellent quality for its price.
I'm just looking for some clean, tight bass that blends in well with my Swan M200s.

Its a decent sub, but not in the class as the STF-2 or the SVS PB or CS series subs.

However it is as good as the Klipsch KSW-12 or the Velodyne subs at Circuit City and other retailers. It is not in the "High end" range, but is as good as a retail $500 sub.

So that 1kW RMS (which no speaker that's commercially available for most prices - can safely ballast 1kW continuous thermal load) yields 115.9 dB. That's going to really flubber around. Heck if it's cheap and sounds alright to your ear I guess all is well.

I have one in my room for music and Xbox games. It's very good sub for the price but don't expect earthquake shaking bass. I get that in my living room from my SVS sub.

I had the 10" dayton for a while. I was very happy with it for the $109 I got it for.

If this 12" is a better performer than the 10" I think the it's the best sub you're going to get for the money.
