Anyone use BofA?

I primarily bank with Fidelity - two cash accounts, two brokerage, a couple of retirement, affinity credit card. But I keep a BOA account open on the off chance that I need to hit a branch for something.

I'd highly recommend Fidelity if you're OK with internet banking. The customer service is incredible. There aren't really any fees, and the ATM fees that others charge get refunded. Plus their 2% cash back Amex is nice, but you need to sweep your points into a Fidelity account to get 2% - otherwise it's 1%.

I do the majority of my pri checking out of BoA

I have savings with 2 other credit unions and a CD with them as well

Also the lovely ING/Capital One Savings account now

No, I don't use them since they are willing to fuck over the common worker to maximize profits like other for profit banks. All of you using them and others like them are part of the problem in fucking over their fellow workers in the name of corporate greed.

Please educate me on how it would benefit someone be to keep their personal savings/checking accounts at BofA instead of a credit union.

My old job has a credit union, which I used from time to time. That's in NorCal. Since I moved down to SoCal, I've not seen a single branch. After some looking around on their website, I found out they have 1 brand in the entire LA region. One. That's unacceptable and why I don't bank with them anymore. It's all about the location and convenience. If your bank isn't in walking distance from where I frequently visit, you're no good to me. Doesn't matter if you have 100% NPS score when I can't even find you.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck

I opened an account at BofA around 2000, and I still use 'em because the ATMs are everywhere and I have the routing number memorized. They've never screwed me, but I haven't had to do anything complicated with my money, so...
