Anyone up for a yahoo fantasy baseball league?

I'm thinking of making a league on yahoo soon, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining. Probably 12teams. First 12 people to respond are in. Also, let me know what cats you guys would like. A 5x5 league is fine, but if more people want a larger variety of categories, we can do that. As soon as there are enough people I'll make the league.

I'm already in one ATOT league but sure, I'll do this one too. Please make it more than 10 teams though, 10 is too little and the talent isn't as spread.

Will do... going for 12 teams. Does that sound good?

Also, for everyone interested, be sure to say what kind of cats you want, if you want head to head, etc.

I would vote for:

12-14 teams
Roto-style (H2H is fine with me too, but I always get screwed in H2H during playoffs...lol)
Live Draft
5x5 or 6x6 for categories (I can give examples of extras beyond the normal 5x5)
I tend to like 1 or 2 more "util" players than yahoo's default as well as an extra bench spot. I think it makes trading and searching the waiver wire/free agent list more fun. otherwise a 10 team league with default yahoo settings you typically won't find anyone on the waiver wire better than anyone on your team.

To everyone who replied so far, I'll send out the id/pass later today. I've been pretty busy lately. Let me know when a good draft time would be for all of you... I was thinking 2 Mondays from now, in the evening. Also, I was thinking 8 cats for hitters and pitchers each, in particular:

Hitters: AVG, R, 2B, HR, RBI, K, OBP, SLG
Pitchers: ERA, W, L, CG, SV, HR, K, WHIP

Still looking for 3 more people, so post here if you're interested.

I'm in if there's still room. I'd prefer 5X5, much simpler and I don't have to research anymore since thats what my other league is using 😉. Anytime after 6pm PT would be good.

I am in if there is still room. I have played a lot of fantasy baseball and would definitely be competitive (just so you know I won't ignore it after the draft).

I have a hard time with categories such as "2B" and "CG". That makes these sort of flukey categories just as important as AVG or WINS. It is extremly difficult to predict or prepare a draft for 2B or for CG as they tend to fluxuate a lot. I would propose a 7x7 instead if you really want to do sometime differenet and more than the standard 5x5.

you have an awful lot of time for fantasy sports, being a ninja and all.

I'd suggest adding OPS and K/BB on top of the standard 5x5 categories.
OPS - considers OBP+SLG
K/BB - emphasizes the control of a pitcher

6x6
Batters: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS
Pitchers: W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB

OK, I'll probably just cut down to the 6x6 mentioned above. Will PM ID/Pass when I get home in a little bit.
