Anyone up for a NFL 2K5 PS2 League?

Just wondering if anyone wanted to start a ESPN NFL 2K5 League for the PS2 Version. Obviously there's a thread for the XBOX, so its not a repost.
 
I just got the game and the online adaptor so I'd probably be game 🙂 I just need to find time to actually try either of them.

EDIT: And if I do play, I call Patriots 🙂 and yes I'm from Boston
 
How I wish I had an Xbox or PS2. I want to play ESPN so bad. I got so psyched up for NCAA 2005 (on Gamecube) and when it came out, it was such a big letdown. I've heard nothing but good things about ESPN.
 
Yeah you can take the pats... I gotta see how they ranked some teams this year. I would love just for once to see Detroit be actually competitive, but it's doubtful lol. Dunno what team I wanna take. All I know is the Lions can't be as bad as the last couple of years.
 
I'm in, and calling the Jets (or Steelers, if anyone else really wants the Jets).

They're my top 2 favs, although I don't see any Super Bowls for them in the near future. 🙂
 
I'd be game... but just a word of warning to you possible 2k5 buyers... if you are used to madden you may not like this as much. Graphics are amazing, but game modes aren't as good (I loved training camp in madden) and the playbooks pale in comparison.
 
I would love to join up, i just bought the game yesterday. All i would need to play then is the broadband adapter right? I dont have to pay monthly fees like xbox live right?
 
yeah u just need the online adapter, no monthly fees like xb live...i think u can even use 56k, but i dont know how bad the lag would be; me and a friend played online for the 1st time last night, and there wasn't any lag, but both of us have cable...it's really awesome w/ the headset too

Sounds freaking good. If you guys are serious about starting this up i am in, i will pick up the adapter and headset.

only thing I played before this was madden, and although the buttons and playbooks took a little while for me to get used to, I like it just as much if not more than madden, but thats just my opinion. For $20 (or $15.88 @ Target this wk), it's a steal and worth looking @.
 
bump and question......do we do a draft or do we just pick the teams and play with that roster? i am in the process of deciding what team i wanna be.
 
I would just like to pick the teams and go with it (I'm not that familiar with players across the league). But if everyone else wants to do trades, I'm okay with that.

I just played three games this evening (picked up the game earlier today) and it's awesome. For $20, you can't go wrong! 🙂
 
Yeah that sounds good, i picked up the network adapter, i still gotta set it up and hook up a switch, i am outta ports on my router. When that is all said and done i will be rdy to play. I got dibs on 'da bears!!!!

League name, who knows. Whether it's preset teams w/trades or a fantasy draft, I don't really care.

Try to advertise this to anyone you know... When I get home from work I can try to start something up just so we can get our slots/teams in.

What's your guys' names on the game? Mine is Demonicus so feel free to add me to the buddy list or whatever.
