they have a review with many high res pictures, perhaps you could check it out and be able to find it.

Yes, I checked this review before (and just did it more thoroughly again), but couldn't find the monitoring chip. I also checked the manual, and didnt get a hint to where it could be.

Frankly, I'm not so sure myself what to look for.
I tried to compare with http://www2.lm-sensors.nu/~lm78/supported.html.
From this list I'd say that Winbond (Wxxxxx), National Semiconductor (LMxx) and Analog Devices (ADMxxxx) chips could be quite frequent.

if you want fan speed control, the msi rs480 board does have it (i have had it, and will be getting one in probably soon again for a build, possibly my linux box if i can find a cpu).

Well, I'd like to play around with vcore undervolting, and as far as I know, the msi doesn't support this.

yeah its a real shame. all the rs480 boards out there, have some of the features a perfect one would have, but not all of them.

the jetway is close, but well some of the features dont work, and it doesnt have the fan speed thing.

i guess youre best best may be the ecs if you want to play with the voltage. just buy an arctic cooling temperature controlled cooler. i've found they can just shut down if its cool enough and are very quiet.

alright, finally got my 3000+, popped everything in a spare ATX case and viola, system turns on, fans spin, if I plug cat5 into the rj45 port, I get lights, but no video. Try unhooking everything, going with one stick of ram, still no video. Reset the cmos, no video. I guess I have to go buy a case speaker, since this case didn't come with one and see if it's beeping at me. Anybody have any ideas except maybe my motherboard is bad.

Shouldn't have lent my boss my spare pci video card...

I just got a A210GDMS system running windows XP x64 with:

Athlon 64 3700+
2 GB Corsair twin value select
250 GB Maxtor IDE HD
Geforce 6800 GT

The only problem with it that I've had so far is the sound - I can't get it working. I'm thinking it might be a driver issue, but I'm not sure what driver I need. Anyone else have that problem/know a solution?

Also, I don't believe I had the south bridge issue. I was never prompted to install driver's for anything (and have gotten window's up and running). On the other hand, I'm new to all of this, and don't really know what a south bridge is, so I guess it's possible that it's affecting me now. Anyone have any words of wisdom?

You probably didn't need it during install because your using an IDE harddrive. You should only need to install the ULI drivers during install if you're using a sata hard drive. But since they're not installed, that's probably why your sound isn't working. Check your device manager to see what devices you still need drivers for and install them off of the cd.

Hans,

What email address did you use to contact Jetway. I'm getting a delayed mail message from my service provider with the tech@jetwaycomputer.com address.

Also, did you use this with a Winchester or Venice core? I'm wondering if I don't have a new enough bios for the Venice core.

Thanks,

ND

Apparently the usb 1.1/2.0 issue was not the board, but was my usb flash drive.

I tried using default windows xp sound drivers and got nothing. The only way I got sound was with the drivers on the driver CD that came with the motherboard.

I have the MSI Radeon Xpress 200 SB480 MB with an AMD64 (Venice)3200+, 4 sticks of Geil 512MB PC3200(With Blue heatsinks)ATI 550 Pro TV Tuner card, VIA Vinyl Sound card, 2 Plextor SATA DVD/DVDRW drives, 2 Segate 120GB SATA drives,Mitsume 3.5 floppy drive with built in smart card reader,Gigabyte cpu cooler with blue led fan, blue led SATA power connectors, UV SATA drive cables,Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse, Logisys lighted blue keyboard and Sceptre 19" LCD 12ms with all of it packed in a Aspire X-QPack case.

The only problem I have with this MB is that I can't burn a DVD at the 8X speeed on this board, I used the same drive on a Nforce 4 borad with the same 8x media and on a Nforce 2 board with the same 8x media and it burned at 8x no problem. This board has no options to overclock so I have to use a software tweak with can overclock it in windows by only two hundred more mHz but the board is stable as hell.

you have 2 plextor sata dvd/dvdrw drives in it? um why? i've had the msi board before, burned dvds fine at 8x, but i used the ide channel. sata based dvd-rw drives are just a gimmick anyway. much more trouble than its worth. from what i've read regarding running atapi based drives on sata ports.

i contacted jetway through the email on jetwaycomputer.com also. i got a response after about an hour, and i just kept talking to the same person who responded. perhaps they have a problem with their server, or your isp?

So, does anyone who is currently using this board, have it running with a rev. E processor (Venice/San Diego)?

Just trying to determine if my board is bad or if the shipping bios doesn't support the newer processors. According to the Jetway website, they are supported.

I'm running a 3700+ with a San Diego and have had no issues with the processor. Also, I've gotten the sound working now, thanks for the suggestions.

I'm using an Athlon 64 Venice 3000+, no problems processor wise.

I have a 3200+ venice with no cpu problems. After a week or so I started having problems with my mic. I dont know if that is a southbridge problem or not since I disabled the onboard audio and installed a sound card. My main concern is the limited ability to overclock due to the lack of working memory dividers. Anyone that talks to Jetway please press them for a divider fix!

Then I would be very interested to get such a board, seems perfect to me for a silent, low-power PVR.

Anyone got Linux running on the A200/A210?

It seems to be hard to get in Germany or Europe generally, though.
Anyone knows a dealer in Germany, UK or the Euro zone?
I already mailed Jetway (.com.tw), but got no reply.

Just got the A200 board and looking through the BIOS it looks like there are plenty of voltage options. Vdimm from 2.55V to 2.85V, Vcore from 0.825V to 1.55V, Vchipset, etc. Linux should run using generic RS480 drivers + ULi drivers, but it's difficult to config. :(

recieved beta bios from hans007

a small update to those with Jetway AGDMS Pro

i have a very beta bios that has working memory divider . it does have some issue still but it does work.

it needs to be modified with these options

Opened the 1x, 2x & 3x LDT multis!
-Enabled and displayed Dual Mode Interleaving!
-Enabled hidden, ultra-tight timings!

currently i have motherboard at 267 x 9 with memory set to 133 divider . with the 133 divider i almost didnt get it to post . the 166 divider seem to work fine for me

again i am missing the LDT 3x which i believe if i had that in bios i could definitly go alot higher than this.

so far i am prime 95 at 5 hrs for the cpu .

hopefully i can get some help modifying this beta bios so that all the options will be available.

hans007 suggested increaseing chipset to 1.9 , this i will try later to do to see if it helps any . i am already at the limit i believe without the LDT 3x

Im looking for a M-ATX board atm for my slimline htpc case...

So far the Jetway A210GDMS-Pro looks to be a winner, mainly for the HD Audio (for me anyway). My only qyestion is... does the board have a S/PDIF connector on it anywhere ??

I want to be able to connect it to my reciever via either coax or optical S/PDIF rather than having to use the 3.5mm plugged cables :-/

Ta,

i kind of just randomly buy stuff and play with it.

was thinking of building an sff box with it, but well decided i'd try building a btx machine. that and my athlon 64 is running on an a8n-e now.

nothing wrong with the board really , im just gonna try new stuff for my "fun" box.
