Anyone try the new Diet Coke Plus?

Leros

Lifer
For those that don't know its "Diet Coke with Vitamins and Minerals". As far as I can tell it tastes just like regular Diet Coke.

Anybody else try this stuff?

Why? If I'm gonna drink Diet Coke anyway, I might as well get a few vitamins. Not like it costs extra or anything.

In that case go for it. I sorta ASSumed it would cost more.

I guess for the chronically malnourished overweight soft drink addict, this is a godsend 😉

Can I be chronically malnourished and skinny?

Can anyone else confirm that it tastes like regular Diet Coke?

I did a side by side taste test and I thought the Plus tasted a tiny bit sweeter then regular Diet Coke.

However, I also a did a blind test and was unable to correctly determine which was which.

i bought 4 12 packs of this stuff 2 weeks ago. finished 2 cases, two to go.

tastes fine to me.

btw, kind of funny isn't it? this coke is the opposite of empty calories.

its no calories but has vitamins and minerals. bonus.

I tried it at Target the other day... it was at room temp though. Tasted pretty much just like regular diet coke to me... not bad.

All I can think off is A Clockwork Orange when i hear 'Diet Coke Plus'

Diet Coke Plus
Diet Coke Plus Vellocet
Diet Coke Plus Senthemesc
Diet Coke Plus Drencrom

That blogger is dumb as hell. Everyone tries to be a pundit today, and most of them fail.
Putting a few vitamins in Diet Coke is a good thing if it helps people's health and brain functions, and harms nobody. Even people with balanced diets benefit from B vitamin supplements.

I don?t see how putting B vitamins, magnesium, and zinc in the Diet Coke hurts anybody. I?m not sure how diet soda is garbage junk food- it has no calories, and is just like drinking water with a lot of impurities that may or may not cause cancer.

If they can get some extra vitamins to a lot of people, more power to them. Even people with balanced diets can have vitamin deficiencies, and even if they don?t, can benefit from extra amounts of vitamins. Keep in mind that hardly anyone gets 100% of the RDA of all nutrients.

?You should have a balanced diet anyway? is not a good argument against vitamin supplemented diet cola. I don?t see you complaining about vitamin supplements in cereal and flour, but then again I don?t read your blog.

What next?
?Why are they putting caffeine in soda? You should just drink coffee!!!?

I saw the "Plus" stuff in the store but didn't really know what it was because I hadn't seen it before. Do they all come with a Plus variety now? I only drink Caffeine Free Diet Coke so if they have Caffeine Free Diet Coke Plus, I'll give it a try. But that's getting to be an awfully long name for a soda...

EDIT: Wow, Coke's website really sucks. Can't seem to find anywhere that says information about the various coke versions such as what the Plus is really about. It's not on their nutritional sheet either. Lots of flash and games but god forbid someone would go to coke.com to find information about Coke. Who'd of thought.

I tried it and as far as diet sodas go, it was not bad. I still hate the after-taste of the fake sugar so that was not appealing to me, but if i had the choice, i would drink this instead of any other diet soda.

Tried it, nothing special. Tastes very similar to Diet Coke, which I do not like.

Coke Zero is much better.

That being said I prefer Pepsi One over all other diet sodas.

i bought a bottle
it tasted like the other
i guess it was better for me
<shrugs, goes back to eating a bagel>

Same here...doesn't taste any different than Diet Coke either.
