Anyone try MCI's "The Neighborhood" plan?

seriously. Every carrier but MCI usually gives at least SOME Expenditure info.....and MCI gives you...well...McDonald...

Yeah... I've had it for about 5 months now.

Ends up being about $75 per month after adding all of the local/state/federal taxes.

Unlimited to anywhere in the US and its protectorates (Guam, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico ...etc) and Canada.

Call waiting, Caller ID, Caller ID On Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling, Speed-dial, voice mail that will also send you an email to let you know you've got a message.

I don't have it... but a lady that I worked with for the past 10 months does... she lives in Louisiana and I live in Ohio. Because she had it, we were able to keep together & updated on things quite nice. Thanks to MCI, we spent many hours... probably into the hundreds of hours... no the phone, without being billed a penny.

horrible. I hate MCI's customer service. They've screwed up my phone so much that I eventually opted out of the whole landline gig and replaced it with vonage.

MCI is horrible. They've overbilled me numerous times.. and their CSRs are arrogant, ignorant and rude.

Just wondering, but how could they overbill me if I have a flat rate/unlimited local and long distance plan? 😕

International long distance, double-billing.

Ah! Well, I'm not going to be calling outside the country, so that shouldn't be a worry. If I have any trouble, I'll switch to the only other provider with a competitive plan in my area: Sprint.

It's expensive to set up, atleast in cali. You have to pay like $170 plus the $50 to set it up.

Really? I saw no fees like that mentioned for my area. 😕

Why does CA get raped?

im a bit curious about this as well...
i pay roughly $60-$65 a month for phone service ($39 plan plus taxes and tolls) and $50 for DSL. I was debating on switching to this, as it is a total of $85 a month vs $110 for both services. Could anyone comment on their dsl service. Im using mindspring, and it is decent... but i would like to save some $$$.

Also, if I am currently using MCI for phone service (non neighborhood plan) would the taxes be the same from my current bill to what the neighborhood would be (so I can actually figure out what my total would be?)
