Anyone try google's IM service?

where does it say on their site that its google, and how is it im, its just a picture sharing thingamobober.

I'll have to check this out tomorrow...but I thought we had all already agreed that Google was going to dominate the world.

you can do the same thing and more with MSN / AIM / Yahoo / whatever, who's going to waste their time with that.

You actually can't. More than half the time you try to make a direct connection with AIM, it fails due to not having 100% perfect configuration. Even with firewalls turned off, it fails most of the time.

Hello works all the time.
