anyone try e-smith linux?

what is the machine going to be used for ? I've not heard of that distro before (but with so many distros out there these days...).. I've had good luck with immunix.
Are you looking for something easy to configure?

though its not linux, you may want to look into OpenBSD.
 
I've played with BSD a little, but don't feel comfortable enough to use it in a production enviornment.
I just installed the redhat 8.1 beta on a spare box, intending to test some vpn stuff, but it's VERY beta, very buggy.
