i used just the regular ones that take 2 weeks but they did give a much noticeable whiter smile which in turn made me smile much more but now all my soda drinking has turned them all yellow, i need to buy another pack but yes for me they did work wonders

how much are they? $30? $40?

i'm thinking of getting some once i get my braces off ... having braces makes it a lot harder to brush and a lot of stuff accumulates on teeth

From what I've read, they can cause some pretty severe tooth pain, but they do work.

I tried them for about 2 weeks. They made my teeth very sensitive so I stopped using them.

BTW, it's Whitestrips. White Stripes is the band :)

night effects work better, and are easier to use. whitestrips are a pain, can drool em off, can't fall asleep with em in since you only keep em in for so long, yet they work best when lying down.

I used them a few months ago, made my teeth quite a few shades whiter. So yes, they work as advertised. No pain during my use.

it worked but not to say >>WOW>>> somewhat noticeable difference...I would go with the premium brand if you are going to try them.

Whitestrips work well, but most people should expect to go through 3-4 boxes to get optimum results. Using tooth whiteners causes sensitivity in alot of people, and is the biggest drawback of using them. No matter how often someone brushes their teeth it's still possible for them to discolor, there are many other factors that affect the tooth color besides hygeine. I recommend the professional Whitestrips which you can get from your dentist. If you don't like the strips and find that they fall off or make you drool or what not. your dentist can make a bleaching tray for you and you can use another whitening system. Also you have to be reasonable with your expectations, if you're teeth are already pretty white you will not go to gleeming white. People with the best results usually are people who have teeth with lots of yellow stains from smoking and drinking coffee.

The peroxide is dosed, so you won't "overwhiten" if you leave them in, but there is a concern that you could swallow or inhale/choke on the plastic strip in your sleep.

For the cost of them, you are much better off going to the dentist. A dentist visit will produce significant brightening in only one application of the gel/ultraviolet treatment.

Does that procedure affect tooth sensitivity?

go buy a electric toothbrush (sonicare or braun), a much better investment in terms of making your teeth clean and white

I used them 2 years ago and didn't finish the last 4 days and my teeth are still freakishly white. My friends tell me it looks unnatural because it basically makes my teeth look like a neon-ish white, if that's even possible.
Expect some sensitivity in the teeth during use.
