Anyone tried the "FRS Energy" drink?

Anyone have any experience with this?

I do not like unhealthy energy drinks, I'm trying to stay away from too much sugar (which this is low in). I also do not like caffeine.

Feedback?

Yeah but this drink above is loaded with vitamins and low sugar. It's not like a normal energy drink, it's some thing different.

Buy real juice if you want healthy stuff. Monster and other energy drinks have some of the same "healthy energy" plus some extra, like yummy caffeine. The energy provided by these drinks are from B vitamins.

Althougth, I will admit these are marketed towards 2 different groups of people.

Is this supposed to be another Brain Toniq?

:-/ Why not just drink water only? Is there something wrong with this... I do it, and have been for the past two months. Now, just my eating habits.. if I could change those.

I need the energy and the vitamins. I wonder if I just crushed a vitamin b pill into a fruit it would equal the effect of this frs drink.

Be careful with B3 (Niacin). It can make your skin feel warm and even itch. I tried one of those 5 hour energy drinks, and I could feel my skin getting warm. The effect usually goes away quickly though.

That reaction to Niacin is hit and miss in the general population it seems. It seems split between whether or not you'll get that flushed reaction.

The only big selling point of this FRS stuff is that is has quercetin which is supposed to be an immensely capable antioxidant, but I've yet to discover any research that claims it is an energizer. It may have anti-inflammatory capabilities (not in the sense of pained inflammation, but it may have a extremely small effect, need actual NSAIDs for true relief).
But, there does seem to be a good amount of evidence that it can help many drugs in the body. Whether this would be a 'good' or 'bad' thing would depend on what drugs it interacts with. If it interacts with a drug it most likely is prolonging the effect as it supposedly inhibits a specific enzyme from cutting down drugs. Some medicinal plants apparently also have quercetin in them as well, so this could be a natural effect.

Someone, quick... go take some of this stuff, or something that has a lot of quercetin in it, and then go get high afterward. Does your high last longer?
I wonder if it prolongs the effects of caffeine and other energy drugs, like nicotine, ephedrine and amphetamines.
It'd become a new super street legal 'drug' if it boosted the effects of such energy products. 😛

Read the freakin' ingerdients. Guarana is the main ingredient in most and it's just extreme caffeine.

Guarana isn't extreme caffeine. It is caffeine. There is no difference between guarana and caffeine.

No shit Sherlock. It's just a large quantity of caffeine.

We somehow got like 10 cases of that stuff at work about 8 months ago.. I never noticed a difference while drinking them. Then again, most energy drinks just don't do anything for me. I see they've changed how the cans look.. and the orange mango one is gross.

It's actually quite a small amount, Sherlock.

Then you want crystal meth, because the only "energy" in energy drinks come from one of those two things. Vitamins might give you energy... if you're just coming off a month long crossing of the Atlantic in a schooner.

Quercetin + nicorette gum + ephedrine + caffeine? Only one way to find out.

😕

You don't really have any business drinking energy drinks if you don't like caffeine... lol

Your body already has too much vitamins typically. 90% of the vitamins you take in you just crap out.

Anybody who buys this crap is just a moron.
