FWIW:

I once saw a military grade monitor that was 4 1600x1200 screen stitched together. I thikn it was less than 30" total. So, 3200x2400 on let's say a 28" diagonal. Even at 6" I couldn't see the pixels and the text whcih was tiny look perfect. It was insane.

3840x2400 on a 22.2" diagnoal. All it takes is a quad output video card to drive it.
9,216,000 pixels on 207.36 sq inches comes to about 44,444 pixels per sq inch.
