Anyone to force all links to open in Firefox?

Firefox is set as the default browser but if I try to open a link from someones profile in Trillian it opens up in IE. Is there anyway to force new windows in IE to open in firefox? Or is this impossible?
 
Im wondering the same thing, i get tired of running ad-aware because i visited a single site with IE 🙁
 
Tools > Options > Advanced > Tabbed Browsing....
Open links from other applications in: a new tab in the most recent window.
