Anyone successfully overclocking using Patriot 2-3-2-5 2gb kit? PN# PDC2G3200LLK

I just got this kit from new egg...Patriot 2-3-2-5 2gb kit part#PDC2G3200LLK

I tried overclocking my A64 3000+ Venice on my DFI lanparty Ultra-D and I was only able to get to 220 FSB. Anything over 220 and crash!

I bought this memory because I read elswhere that it overclocked well.

I have tried lowering the timings to 3-6-6-8, raised voltages, etc... and I can't get over 220 FSB.

Anyone else have this memory that has overclocked higher than that succesfully?

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I was able to hit 500ddr with mine with cas 3-5-4-8 2.8v........


on an MSI board though....sounds like a common DFI mobo issue wit memory...many stories like this.....You may have to shop around for a specific modded bios...
