Anyone still using an LX6? What CPU do you have?

Mine is still going strong as a server with a cely 466.

I found a beta bios that will support celerons up to 600MHz.

Now I'm wondering whether it could work with a celeron 766. The chip and a new slotket would cost $90.

Anyone tried or heard of LX6s running higher than 600MHz?

Thanks,

Where did you find that beta bios? Could you email it to me? david@prismark.com

I built a machine for my company a long time ago with an LX6 and a celeron 366; maybe I can upgrade it? 🙂

Thanks,
David

Very cool - I'm going to try this on my son's PC I built year and a half ago. Shuttle LX w/onboard UW/SCSI - nice if I can put this 600 Cele II on it through a slocket. Rats I just figured out that "LX6 = Abit" DOH!!!!! 😱

I haven't tried yet; been very busy with other stuff. Maybe sometime in... July??? It's not my own computer, so if I screw up, I have to cover for it, which can take forever! 🙂
