Just bought a new laptop yesterday, ive always been a fan of winamp. I havent used it for ahwile and found out they do shoutcast streaming video and radio stations, that suprisingly sound very clear 192kb rate. they even have AOL XM radio programming on here. And the best part is its all free!

yeah...ive always been using it.
tried itunes...its very...apple-like...but its too simplified for my taste...
i dont know...im going to stick with winamp.

Listening to shoutcast radio right now, love it.

BTW, how do these radio stations stay alive if their free? Do they have to pay for the songs they play?

After the horrendus pile of crap that was known as winamp3 was released I stopped using it.

If you liked the versions previous do some research before making a statement like that... Justin Frankel wanted nothing to do with winamp3.

I know that, the deal is that Winamp3 was SO bad it made me not want to use any of thier software again. None of the newer versions of winamp will be as good as 2.x.

i seriously don't understand what's so bad about winamp3. AIM on the other hand, has been getting more bloated and annoying.

I still do, I use iTunes as well but I also keep a lot of my ripped music in FLAC and use Winamp as my default media player.

nope, Foobar2000 with Kernal Streaming. I could use winamp with asio but meh.. Every day it's another popup about an update and I don't really trust anything that is so closely connected to AOL (though I do use AIM for work contacts...) I just like foobar more these days anways.

It was a buggy bloated pile of crap.
On one of my friends machines it associated every single file type on the PC with itself, instant windows crash and had to be reformated.
